4TH GRADE JAMBOREE
a true Gold Rush experience!
Each year MCARLM holds our annual 4th Grade Jamboree for 4th Grade Students in South Monterey County. The students come to our museum and spend the day in emersed in our Gold Rush experience. Started 8 years ago, the Jamboree fits perfectly into the California 4th Grade Social Studies curriculum. This is a 100% hands-on day filled with panning for gold, Gold Rush era food, and activities that show students what it was like to live in that time.
Students will step back in time and learn what it was like to travel in the 1800s!
Learning about blacksmithing is always a hit at the 4th Grade Jamboree even with the teachers!
The students love the hands-on activities but they tend to stray away from the hardtack.
