The Clam Chowder Dinner is a local favorite for many who call South County home. People gather from far and wide to attend this dinner. The Clam Chowder Dinner is known for the delicious all you can eat Clam Chowder, homemade desserts, beer and wine from local vineyards, and an exciting silent auction! The dinner is held the last Friday of January.
The Ag Tour which is held annually visits a variety of agricultural enterprises around the valley. The tour provides an up-close look at modern agribusiness in action. After a continental breakfast at San Lorenzo Park , participants board luxury buses and visit sites around the Salinas Valley. Places visited in past years include a winery (with wine tasting), carrot harvesting operation, seedling nursery, duck farm, packing shed, cattle ranch with working stock dog demonstration, a fertilizer operation and much more. Tours include all meals plus refreshments on the buses.
Gather around the bonfire and prepare yourself for a night of fright at the MCARLM annual Ghost Stories & Local Lore. Bring a picnic blanket and your best ghost story to share. Spooky games are available to those who dare! This event is free to the public and is held the third Saturday of every October!
Join MCARLM for a taste of country Christmas! This family friendly event invites everyone to join in some Christmas festivities. Enjoy a wine and soup bar, hay rides, and arts and crafts for the kids. Take some time touring the building and get a start on your holiday shopping at the MCARLM Store! This event is always held the second Saturday in December. Happy Holidays!
