MCARLM Limited Re-Opening!

The Monterey County Agricultural & Rural Life Museum has made the decision to host a limited reopening! Beginning the weekend of July 11th, the main exhibit barn will begin allowing limited access. The hours will be:

11:30 - 4

Map of one-way path through the museum.

Following Monterey County Covid-19 guidelines, all visitors will be required to wear a face mask and maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet. Only 6 social groups will be allowed in the museum at a time, with a maximum of 8 people per group. The museum has been rearranged to direct people in a one-way path to avoid social groups coming in contact with one another. Boundaries have also been put in place to minimize contact with exhibits and artifacts. Anything a visitor touches must be disinfected, and constant disinfecting can lead to premature erosion. We ask that you keep your hands to yourselves to preserve our history.

Although we are excited to see your faces back in the museum, if you are feeling ill or are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, we respectfully ask that you remain home.

Your donation will help us continue to inspire and engage current and future generations of agriculture and rural life history enthusiasts. Without the Agricultural and Rural Life Museum, our community would be bereft of the inspiration and sustenance provided by the historical context of our exhibitions. No matter the size of your budget, your gift will make a difference! Gifts of all sizes tremendously appreciated.

Thank you for your contribution!
